Care Team Leader – Supported Living – Leyland/Euxton

Glenelg Support provides high-quality support for individuals with autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and/or mental health needs in Supported Living. We work closely with the individuals and their families in the planning and development of support tailored for each individual.

We are seeking to recruit talented staff to the role of a Team Leader with the right values, skills and behaviours to work in our services full time across Liverpool.

x full time, permanent position

Drivers are highly desirable for our services. Due to the Mobility Car Insurance we can only accept drivers with a full, clean UK/EU driving licence.

Some homes require Female candidates only as this is indicated under occupational requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010

As our Team Leader, you will be responsible and accountable for the 24 hour management of the supported individual’s home. You will be on duty in the home whilst being responsible for managing the staff team. Completing 4 weekly payroll, probations, supervisions and appraisals.

1 x Full time permanent contract (Leyland) – Female only – 4 young ladies in a bungalow with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Epilepsy, Diabetes and Cerebral Palsy. You will be working closely with their families. Very busy environment with set routines.

New Homes:

2 x 4 bedroom bungalows to open around August / September 2024.

Home 1 – Full time permanent contract (Euxton) – Female only.

Home 2 – Full time permanent contract (Euxton) – Males & Females

We are looking for a strong candidate with experience in autism, complex needs and/or mental health.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include (but is not exhaustive):

  • Supporting individuals with their daily living skills, medication, personal care
  • Arranging/attending all appointments
  • The level of support required will depend on the assessed needs of each individual person. You will be required to follow procedures in line with external quality and regulatory standards, as well as contractual requirements.
  • Ensuring all contracted hours within the home are covered and making necessary arrangements to cover for annual leave, sickness, training, etc.,
  • Managing a staff team including supervisions, team meetings etc
  • Contributing to the formulation of support plans, risk assessments and person centred plans
  • Working with families to foster open, honest communication and promote a willingness to continuously improve the service their family member receives.

  • Team Leader covering 1 service: Contracted: £12.68
  • Team Leader covering 2 services: Contracted: £12.97
  • Team Leader covering 3 services: Contracted: £13.26

Requirements

Essentials

  • UK/EU Driving Licence is highly desirable
  • Experience of complex behaviours
  • A minimum of 2 years Team Leader / Supervisory experience in a Social Care setting

Experience

  • Autism / complex behaviour: 2 years (required)
  • Social Care Team Leader / Supervisor: 2 years (required)
